Denise Higgins - Chairperson
Denise is in her fifth year as a Councilor on the Deniliquin Council and holds the portfolio of youth and community services. In her Council role, she serves on numerous committees that support various organisations in the community. Denise is employed in the community services area in aged care. She strongly supports the youth of the town and is an advocate for a strong social and cultural agenda.
Barbara Hull - Vice Chairperson
Barbara has lived and worked in the Murray region for over 20 years, and is the Executive Officer of Regional Development Australia Murray. Her skills and experience are devoted to addressing regional issues affecting economic development, jobs, sustainable environments and social inclusion. She has a proven track record as a practitioner in community planning consultation and sourcing funding to support projects that will deliver real social and economic benefits to the community.
Kellie Crossley - Secretary
Kellie is a qualified Accredited Practising Dietitian and has a strong background in health care. Kellie is passionate about local approaches to services and building strong partnerships particularly in regard to improving the health and well-being of all community members. She has experience in organisational planning and risk management.
Chris Hayes - Treasurer
Chris has been involved in accounting and advising in industry and public practice since 1970 and assisted families and businesses with the management of their personal financial and taxation matters. He has also assisted a large number of regional not for profit organisations with their Department of Fair Trading compliance obligations and accounting requirements.His other interests include a long involvement with junior sport including the management and delivery of competitive swimming and learn to swim programs.
David Crew
David holds a Bachelor in Anthropology and has a strong commitment to equity, social justice and community development. He has a background in archaeology and Aboriginal culture and heritage. David is currently the non-Indigenous Co-Chair of the NSW Reconciliation Council and works as a program manager for Yarkuwa Indigenous Knowledge Centre Aboriginal Corporation in Deniliquin.
Colin Dowell
Colin is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 yrs of public practice experience. He has a keen interest in community service groups and issues through his involvement with the Deniliquin Arts Council, South West Music Inc and the Deniliquin Lions Club. Colin brings a strong accounting focus to his role, in particular, financial reporting and analysis. Colin aims to assist Intereach in its financial matters and the execution of its governance processes to ensure continued community growth and development..
Clive Gow
A family man and ex-banker, having recently retired after 38 years, Clive is committed to seeing Intereach go forward with community based leadership, a strong financial footing and a progressive agenda to pursue its sustainability through growth and community development.
Di Rinaldi
Di is a Registered Nurse and has a strong background in management and was the previous Health Services Manager of the Deniliquin Hospital. Di has been on the board for a number of years and believes in the need to provide rural and remote people with services and support that can help them develop into strong communities. Di is keen to see that Intereach continues with its rural focus, maintaining a strong strategic focus, identifying needs, and then working towards resolving these needs.
Raelene Wilson
Raelene has a professional background and qualifications in social work, social welfare and vocational educational training. She is currently Head Teacher of Community Services at the Riverina Institute of TAFE and is enrolled in a Masters of Business. Raelene is keen to help Intereach maintain its position as a leading non-government agency in providing services to address community needs. She is passionate about ensuring community programs are relevant, current and accessible, with access and equity for all.
