Family Support

Family SupportStrengthening families and our community

Does your family need assistance in coping with difficult times such as separation, divorce, access, grief and loss, unemployment, financial hardship, parenting, family violence or sexual assault?

Then the Family Support Service may be able to help you and your family through providing information and support.

What is Family Support?

Family Support is a service provided to offer help through information and support to families with dependent children. Support is offered through home or centre visits with a Support worker, groups for mutual support with parent education, developing skills and self-confidence, anger management, support counselling, court support and assistance to families in time management, budgeting, household management and personal development.

Who can use the Family Support Service?

Families with dependent children who may be in need of support, information, resources or access and referral to other supports within the community. Families or individuals may refer themselves to the service, or with permission may be referred by another service.

Where is the Family Support Service available?

The Family Support Service is available to people living in the Deniliquin area and is based at the Deniliquin Neighbourhood Centre, corner Trickett and Napier Streets, Deniliquin.
