Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre (CRCC)

As a carer, your life situation is unique.

Phone us on 1800 052 222 and we will chat about what’s happening for you and the person you are caring for.

This helps us to understand your caring role, and suggest practical support that will help such as:

  • Information and resources
  • Education
  • Connecting with other carers
  • Planning (longer term and for an emergency)
  • Counselling
  • Respite (emergency or short-term)

When you start caring for someone things change, for you and for them. The process of caring can also change over time. Being prepared for changes can help you better deal with things when they happen.

We are able to help support you through making these changes and talk through any worries or concerns you may have.

Carers can be any age. Some carers are children. Children and young adults (under 25) are called ‘young carers‘. There is specialised help and support available for young carers.

Where is it available?

This support is available in the Riverina Murray region of New South Wales.

You can phone, or call into any one of our offices in Deniliquin, Albury, Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Hay, Cootamundra, Finley or Corowa.

If you live in a different region, we can help connect you with the local CRCC.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost to access this general advice and support.

There may be some costs involved in other supports put in place, depending on your needs and the person you are caring for. We discuss and agree upon this before support is provided.
