Christmas break for Intereach
Community members seeking assistance from leading service provider Intereach have been advised to be aware of office opening times over the Christmas and New Year period.
All Intereach offices will be closed from 5pm on Tuesday December 24, and re-opening at 9am on Thursday January 2.
Intereach has 16 offices through central and northern Victoria, the Mallee and south-western NSW.
CEO Keryn Fox said this was the first time that Intereach had closed all its offices over the Christmas and New Year period.
“Historically this is a very quiet time in our offices, so we thought there would be minimal disruption for our participants and communities,” she said.
“This will also give our staff a break at an important time of year for their families, and I believe it is a way our organisation can promote an effective work/life balance."

“Throughout 2019 we have placed special emphasis on ensuring our staff needs are met, and this included the Intereach First Forums, which increased our investment in the personal and professional development of our team members.
“Our team has grown so rapidly, alongside the growth in our organisation as a whole, and ensuring their needs are met is a priority for Intereach,” Ms Fox said.
She added the organisation was ensuring critical programs continued to be accessible in emergency situations over the closure period, with staff available via telephone only.

Ms Fox said she extends best wishes to all Intereach participants and staff for the festive season.
She said the organisation had enjoyed a period of extensive growth in providing essential community services throughout 2019 and looks forward to ongoing success in 2020.
