This year’s NSW Youth Week theme is ‘Connected More Than Ever!’. When talking to young people about the year that has been, COVID-19 was a really tough experience! Young people identified that the isolation was exceptionally challenging.

When we asked young people how they like to connect with their friends and peers, an overwhelming response was through sport!

To recognise this and to celebrate Youth Week, our youth mental health program, Reach Out and Relax (ROAR), partnered with The Sneaker Collective. From our partnership, two very deserving young people were presented with a pair of fab new sneakers, to encourage their participation in their chosen sport, to reconnect and get active!

ROAR is a program that provides free and confidential support to young people up to the age of 18 who are finding things a bit tough. The program works with children, young people, and their families to improve their emotional health and wellbeing.
