Intereach Hay office re-opens
05 Nov 2021

We’re back! That is the message from the team at Intereach in Hay following a period of COVID-19 interruptions.

Their Hay office in Lachlan Street was renovated last year to make the building more user-friendly for staff and community members who use the Intereach services.

But with ongoing COVID-19 restrictions this year there have been times when the office had to close, and these restrictions also prevented staff from other Intereach offices from supporting the team in Hay.

Intereach Acting CEO Yvette Buhagiar is delighted to advise that the Hay office is now open every weekday, except Fridays.

“With the easing of restrictions, we are returning to ‘business as usual’ in Hay,” Ms Buhagiar said.

Intereach offers a broad range of services from its Hay office including:

  • Aboriginal Family Health Program
  • Early Childhood Early Intervention
  • Family Links
  • Local Area Coordination
  • No Interest Loan Scheme
  • Reach Out And Relax

There is also a visiting Local Area Coordinator, available to talk with anyone aged seven years and over about the National Disability Insurance Scheme, providing information and answering any questions.

The NDIS provides support to eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disability. Early intervention supports can also be provided for eligible people with disability or children with developmental delay. Intereach works alongside people with disability, their family and carers to identify a person’s dreams, goals and hopes, and put practical help in place to achieve them.

To make an appointment with a LAC or a Community Linker – the person who ‘links’ participants to the services they need – contact Intereach on the toll-free number, 1300 488 226, visit the Hay office at 173-177 Lachlan St, or email contact@intereach.com.au

Residents and participants in the Hay region are also advised that the Hay office will be closed during the Christmas/New Year week.

Intereach supports children and families, older people, people living with disability, mental health and carers. If you, or someone you know, needs support you can contact the team at Intereach on the toll-free number 1300 488 226, or go to www.intereach.com.au.
