Intereach Community Transport can help older people, people living with a disability, including children and their carers, people who are transport disadvantaged and Department of Veterans’ Affairs support recipients, to stay independent and connected to the local community.
Where does the Community Transport service operate?
• In the Deniliquin region that includes Deniliquin, Mathoura and Conargo areas, and
• In the Griffith region that includes Griffith, Beelbangera, Yoogali, Hanwood, Lake Wyangan, Tharbogang, Bilbul, Widgelli and Yenda.
How can Intereach Community Transport help you?
• By providing transport for recreation, shopping, medical care, and social contact.
• By providing a wheelchair accessible vehicle if you need it.
• By providing group transport to Shepparton and Bendigo (Deniliquin only).
When can I access Community Transport?
Monday to Friday, usually between 9am and 4.30pm.
In special circumstances, we can undertake services outside of these hours, but please let us know in advance if you require this.
Is there a cost?
Cost will vary depending on the destination and distance you travel. You will receive a list of suggested contributions at your first meeting with staff, or upon request. If you are having financial difficulties, you can apply to access reduced costs.
