Parenting children and young people is one of the most important, but challenging jobs you will ever do. Intereach can work alongside you, your children and your family to provide personal support to help your family be healthy, safe and a good place for your children to grow.
If you are experiencing separation, divorce, grief and loss, unemployment, financial hardship, family violence and sexual assault, we can help build your capacity to cope with these challenges.
How does it work?
We visit you at home or in the community and talk about what is working well, and what you are finding tough to deal with. This helps us understand the type of support that will suit you and your family, and what problems you want to tackle.
The practical help we can provide includes information and referral to other services, counselling, court support and help with little things that can make a big difference like time management, budgeting, household management and personal development.
Where is it available?
Support is available to people living in the Local Government Areas of Edward River, Hay, Berrigan, Murrumbidgee and Murray River.
If you live in another area, please contact us and we will put you in touch with someone who can help.
You can drop in and see us at the Intereach Neighbourhood Centre in Deniliquin, phone us for a chat, or we can arrange to visit you in the community.
Is there a cost?
There is no cost to access this general advice and support.
