Family day care services to help families in the Riverina
Intereach will offer Family Day Care services across the western Riverina, delivering much needed family day care places and services to the region.
Care services started on 30 January with 16 established educators with significant experience partnering with Intereach in providing high quality care and education.
Family Day Care Nominated Supervisor Rebecca Fitzpatrick said Intereach’s decision to support the region would have immediate impacts on families.
“We look forward to delivering our service in the area to help support local families by providing our quality services and support,” Ms Fitzpatrick said.
“Families who have been receiving services from these educators will continue to see the same great service and support. We expect minimal disruption to services during their transition to Intereach.”
The expansion of Intereach care services will see eight educators located in Griffith, three in Leeton, three in Narrandera and two in Hay.
The investment in the region will have a significant impact on Intereach’s staffing levels, with its Family Day Care educator team growing to almost 70 across its footprint after it added educators in the Wagga and Junee areas in 2020 and 2022.
“All of our educators are qualified and value the uniqueness of opportunities that Family Day Care provides to the community and the need to offer families quality and flexibility with the care and education we provide,” Ms Fitzpatrick said.
Intereach Co CEO Michelle Tai said the service provider was proud to be a strong employer of regional professionals and encouraged those in the early childhood, social services and health care sectors to consider career opportunities with the organisation.
“We are always searching for passionate Educators to provide quality education and care in a home-based environment while being supported by a high-performing and supportive coordination team. Some unique benefits to becoming an Intereach Family Day Care Educator include flexible hours, a great work/life balance, having consistent support from our Coordination Unit and joining a large network of educators for peer support,” Ms Tai said.
Intereach Family Day Care provides care and education to children aged 0-13 years in a home environment with a registered educator. Educators are qualified and are supported by the experienced Intereach Coordination Unit.
