Intereach announced as an NDIS Early Childhood Early Intervention Provider in Murrumbidgee

Intereach is delighted to have been announced as the Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in the Murrumbidgee area.

As a NDIS partner, Intereach will deliver ECEI in the Local Government areas of Albury, Balranald, Berrigan, Bland, Carrathool, Coolamon, Cootamundra-Gundagai, Edward River, Federation, Greater Hume, Griffith, Hay, Leeton. Murray River, Murrumbidgee, Narrandera, Wagga Wagga and Wentworth.

Intereach already provides NDIS and ECEI services in the Loddon area of Victoria. Intereach also delivers the NDIS in the Murrumbidgee area on behalf of NDIS partner Social Futures.

The ECEI approach supports children aged 0-6 years who have a developmental delay or disability and their families/carers. ECEI works with families to help children develop the skills they need to take part in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their life.

Intereach CEO Keryn Fox said, “At Intereach we have significant experience in Early Childhood Early Intervention and are excited for the opportunity to draw upon this expertise to support local families. Evidence shows that timely support for a child with developmental delay before the age of six can significantly change that child’s developmental trajectory and overall quality of life. ECEI will allow us to work with families to understand their child’s support needs and provide the information they need to make informed choices about supports and services.”

Planning for the establishment of the ECEI program in Murrumbidgee is now underway.
