Intereach is recognising the tireless work of staff who are making a difference to the lives of older people, ahead of Aged Care Employee Day on Wednesday, 7 August.

Intereach has more than 260 aged care workers across southern NSW, north/central Victoria and Mallee providing a range of services, including care coordination, Meals on Wheels, Community Transport, Home and Community Care, and social support.

"Every day, aged care employees perform their roles with immense dedication and compassion, often going above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing of our older community members."

Yvette Buhagiar - Intereach Co-CEO

“Our dedicated team members do a wonderful job supporting older people in our communities, so they can remain independent and active and living in their own homes for longer.

“Aged Care Employee Day is an opportunity for all of us to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for their invaluable contributions.”

Intereach is calling on the local community to recognise those who care for older Australians by saying “thanks for caring” for this national day.

“We’re asking our community to take a moment and think about the quiet achievers and the superheroes who provide care with professionalism, compassion and dedication for our loved ones and give them the recognition they deserve,” Ms Buhagiar said.

Now in its sixth year, ACED acknowledges the more than 370,000 people who care for and support around 1.5 million older Australians who receive aged care services.

To continue the great work of our aged care employees, Intereach is seeking staff for a range of exciting career opportunities.
