Community Transport volunteers honoured with Community Recognition Statement
A huge congratulations to four of our wonderful Deniliquin Community Transport volunteers who were honoured with a NSW Government Community Recognition Statement certificate last week.
NSW Member for Murray Helen Dalton made the presentation at her office in Deniliquin on Wednesday. The certificates recognise volunteer services to the community.
Volunteer drivers Barry Macauley, Barbara Finn, Neville Lester and Daryl Whateley were each praised for their 10 years’ service, transporting local people often to important out-of-town medical appointments.
Intereach also honoured the volunteers’ service with a dinner late last year where they were presented with a personally inscribed drinking glass.
