Intereach Family Day Care educator Angela Coffey among the best
Intereach Deniliquin Family Day Care Educator Angela Coffey has been named Riverina regional winner in the 2018 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards.
The awards celebrate the important role educators play in the lives of children, families and communities across Australia.
Intereach Family Day Care offers flexible and extended hours of childcare for babies and children under the age of 13. Care is provided for small groups of children in the homes of registered Family Day Care educators. Angela is one of 28,000 family day care educators providing quality education and care to more than 200,000 children across Australia.
Angela said, “I was delighted just to be nominated! It’s really nice to get the recognition and feel valued by the families that I work with. I was actually quite shocked when I had found out that I had won. I won the award the previous year and there are so many wonderful educators in our region that I really didn’t expect to get the call telling me I had won again! The thing I enjoy the most about working in Family Day Care is the relationships you build with the children and their families.”

Angela was nominated for the award by local school teacher Sarah Campbell. Sarah said, “I’m ecstatic that Angela has won this award and I think it really validates the care and effort she puts into her work. My children have flourished under her care. She has wonderful ideas that help the children learn and develop and she invests such love into everything she does. We are so lucky to have her as part of our lives.”
