Intereach to build new long day care centre in South Albury
Families seeking long day childcare will soon have access to a purpose-built early learning centre in South Albury.
Intereach has been awarded a $4.35 million grant under the NSW Government’s Building Early Learning Places Program to construct the 108-place centre at 460 Atkins Street.
Subject to planning approvals and construction timelines, the new centre is expected to open in early 2028, and will meet significant local demand for high-quality, inclusive early childhood education and care for infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children.
Intereach Co-CEO Yvette Buhagiar said the announcement came at a critical time for families in the region.
“As Albury grows, the demand for childcare is also increasing, and this funding means local families will soon have access to a modern, inclusive and culturally safe early learning environment built specifically for the South Albury community,” she said.
