Intereach Joins Global Leaders at Ageing Asia Innovation Forum
Intereach will stand alongside industry experts attending the Ageing Asia Innovation Forum in Singapore this April.
The forum brings together thought leaders from around the globe to discuss the future of aged care, with a focus on connection and dignity for older people.
Intereach Co-CEO Yvette Buhagiar said the conference was an important opportunity to meet with and hear from leading practitioners, industry experts, and academics
“Aged care is constantly evolving, so it is important that we take every opportunity to learn, share, and grow, for the benefit of every person in our care,” Mrs Buhagiar said.”
“As the name suggests, this forum is all about innovation – finding new, creative and evidence-informed methods to best meet the needs of older people.
“Australia, like many other nations, has an ageing population.
“It is vital that we work with older people, the wider community, and governments to design systems and care solutions that support our elders to remain independent, connected, and healthy for as long as possible.”
“This forum also looks at workforce recruitment and sustainability, policy and regulation, and collaboration between providers, government and community.
“As part of the conference, I will also be visiting a range of aged care settings to see how they are integrating new ideas into their services including AI and other forms of technology.
“There is a strong focus on developing the systems that support 100-year lives and celebrate the contribution older people can make throughout their later years.
“I am thrilled to be representing Intereach at this event and even more excited to bring new ideas back to the people and communities we serve,” Mrs Buhagiar said.
Intereach delivers in-home, aged care services to more than 3400 older Australians every year. We support rural and regional communities to live well, stay connected, and access the support they need.
