Real People. Real Care. Right at Home

Intereach has more than 260 dedicated aged care workers supporting older people to live independently at home and connected in their communities.

From domestic assistance and garden maintenance to social support and community connections, it’s our frontline staff who make the biggest difference, where it matters most.

We know that for clients and their families, there are important questions:

  • Are there enough staff in my community?

  • Will Dad feel comfortable if someone new visits?

  • Will Mum’s support worker really listen?

  • Will they respect routines, preferences, and privacy?

  • Will I feel safe?

  • Will I be treated with dignity?

These are all valid concerns, and Intereach takes them seriously.

While we aim to provide consistency wherever possible, we also recognise there are times when different team members may step in. What matters most is that every single interaction is grounded in compassion, respect, and strong communication.

Our teams work closely together, sharing client preferences, routines, and goals so support remains consistent, familiar, and person-led.

Behind every visit is a simple, shared commitment to ensure every client feels respected, supported, and safe in their own home.

For Hayley, a Community Support Worker in Echuca, that starts with connection.

“I love building meaningful relationships with clients where they feel comfortable and where all their amazing memories have been created,” she said.

“I help them where they need it but do not take over unless necessary.

“They are still independent but I’m right there behind them to assist.”

It’s this balance that helps clients feel confident and in control of their daily lives.

“I build trust by listening, by being reliable, respectful, and patient, understanding that they have routines, goals and preferences that need to be met and respected,” she said.

In Bendigo, Domestic Assistant Richard brings the same approach. With decades of experience running his own businesses before moving into aged care later in life, Richard knows trust comes from genuine human connection.

“The main thing is to listen to your clients and remember details because everyone is different and has different needs and preferences,” he said.

Because of that, Richard adapts his work to meet both practical and emotional needs.

And, like the rest of his colleagues, he plays an important role in identifying when clients need extra support and advocating for them to receive it.

“We’re well trained to know what to look for and how to communicate that,” he said.

This proactive approach helps older Australians remain safe and independent in their own homes for longer.

That shared mindset across our workforce is what creates consistency, even when faces may change.

Behind the scenes, our teams are constantly communicating and supporting one another to ensure care is continuous and coordinated.

For families, that brings reassurance. For clients, it creates a sense of familiarity, dignity, and belonging, which is exactly what our aged care team strives to do every day.

“We choose to do this work because we love helping others and being able to make a positive difference in someone else’s life,” Hayley said.

“We are there every step of the way to help our clients live safely, independently and with dignity.”

Every experience with Intereach is built on trust.
